Within the Construction Project for the seawater intake pipelines of the CCC of Koudiet, the design of the protection of the Koudiet marine platform is included.
The studies carried out include:
• Design of protection rock armor: calculation using Hudson and Van der Meer formulations
• Design of toe protection rock armor at the breakwater base
• Platform crest elevation
• Adaptation of available sections to the existing material
• Overtopping study
• Definition of the temporary breakwater for installation of onshore pipelines
• Procedure for sampling rock armor after breakwater construction
• Design of the protection wall of the platform against overtopping
• Design of the road over the breakwater
The stability, overtopping and erosion calculations and designs were verified through physical model tests and numerical modeling of dynamic wave filtration through the breakwater, all with the technical support of INCREA.
