First, the maritime climate in the area is studied to define the necessary ballasting for the pipelines.
Subsequently, a technical report is prepared for the validation of the pipes proposed by PPA&KRAH, calculating the sinking of the pipes in two stages with the help of floats.
To calculate the maximum height of the earth and analyze the protection in the surf zone, a study is carried out on the evolution of the beach profile with the arrival of the design storm.
The characteristics of the pipelines are:
• Two PE100 seawater intake pipelines (total intake flow 5.28 m3/s)
• Internal diameter: 1,800 mm.
• Length: 2,435 and 2,535 m.
• Depth: 16 and 16.5 m
• PE100 brine discharge pipeline (discharge flow 3.54 m3/s)
• Internal diameter: 1,800 mm.
• Length: 1,540 m.
• Depth: 9.5 m.
