The construction project for the La Taboada subsea outfall is being carried out, based on the conclusions of the field work performed, after the ACS Group won the international tender where INCREA provided the engineering.
Exhaustive studies are conducted on the definitive location, auxiliary works, suppliers, etc.
• Material: HDPE-100
• Main section diameter: 3,000 mm
• Variable diffuser diameter: 3,000 mm for the first 340 m, 2,400 mm for the next 330 m, and 1,800 mm for the last 330 m
• Maximum flow rate of 20 m³/s and average flow rate of 14 m³/s
• Length of 3,698 m, including the 1,000 m diffuser section
• 250 risers with two diffusers each. Variable nozzle diameter
• Average discharge depth 10.9 m

Different design alternatives are studied to achieve the optimal balance between dredging and pipeline protection.
