The Basic Engineering was drafted for the call for tenders in order to describe and justify the solution adopted for the design of the quays within the International Module at the Capurro Fishing Terminal in the Bay of Montevideo.
The quays designed were comprised of piles, longitudinal and cross beams and a concrete foundation (including permanent formwork slabs) as follows:
• Refrigerated loading and unloading quays:
–Refrig. Quay 1, 210 m long
–Refrig. Quay 2, 90 m long
• Mooring quays
–MU1 lay-up berth, 220 m long
–MU2 repair and mooring quay, 90 m long
–MU3 mooring quay, 396 m long. Plus, this quay may be used for mooring on the other side - the outer side.
