Project for the marine works (intake and outfall) associated with the construction of the Tuas Desalination Plant (TDP), in Singapore.
INTAKE
• Flow rate: QT = 844380 m³/d = 9.77 m³/s
• 5 solid-wall polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines, De = 1,400 mm, common trench:
•Land section: 50 m, sheet pile trench.
•Transition and marine section: 50 m, sloped trench.
• 5 independent lantern-type GRP intake structures
• Hypochlorite pipelines, from the plant to the intake
OUTFALL
• Flow rate: QV = 525038 m³/d = 6.08 m³/s
• 1 structured-wall polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline, Di = 1,800 mm:
•Marine section and transition to land: 135 m (including diffuser section), sloped trench.
• Diffuser section:
•Length: 25 m
•10 riser pipes of 275 mm diameter
