This is a new berthing jetty at Hamriyah Port capable of receiving vessels of 60,000 tonnes. The new jetty must meet the functional requirements and design criteria established by TAKREER for the terminal.
The design includes and provides for the construction of a jetty consisting of the following main elements:
• Landside access for pipelines, services and vehicles
• Mooring structures
• Berthing structures
• Loading and unloading platform
• Other auxiliary elements related to the maritime operations of the terminal.
In addition, the following works were considered:
• Repair and widening of the sloped breakwater
• Physical scale model tests for analysing the behaviour of the sloped breakwater
• Physical scale model tests to analyse vessel mooring
• Navigation simulation
• Cathodic protection of the piles
