Preparation of the Basic Design for the intake, discharge channel and pumping station for the cooling circuit of the Mandiodo thermal power plant, in Indonesia.
The intake pipeline has the following characteristics:
• Material: PE100
• Internal diameter: 2,400 mm
• Flow rate: 8.33 m3/s
• Total length: 1,200 m
• Intake structure using a GRP component

The pumping station consists of:
• Forebay and water inlet chamber
• 3 filtration lines, including:
• 2×3 guide sets and 2×1 stoplogs (at the inlet and outlet)
• 3 fixed screens with a screen-cleaning trolley and 3 “dual flow” mobile screens
• A common, compartmentalizable chamber upstream of the pump area, with:
• 4 guide sets and 2 stoplogs.
• Pump chamber, with:
• 7 pumps (Qd = 1.60 m3/s)
• 7 check valves, one per pump
• 7 guide sets and 1 stoplog
• At surface level: 1 5 t gantry crane

In addition, the main technical specifications of the pumping station equipment and the construction procedure were defined.
