The works under this project are intended to extend the 2nd alignment of the Attached Quay to create an additional 290 m berthing line with a 16.00 m draft, planned in the short to medium term for the expansion of the adjacent container terminal, and in the medium to long term to allow, where applicable, the berthing of cruise ships.
This project constitutes an Alternative Solution with respect to the Base Project.
The following works are carried out under the project:
• Structural resizing of the caissons:
• Change from rectangular-cell caissons to circular-cell caissons, reducing from 7 to 6 caissons.
• Reinforcement design calculations.
• Naval stability calculations for the caissons.
• Stability verification.
