  • Description:

    The work on the new Granadilla port included the execution of a counterdike.

    The calculations done for this study were required because of the installation of a buoy in the port area that modified the design wave.  Moreover, the change in the works planning meant the counterdike would not be sheltered by the dike in the construction phase which meant the design incident wave would be greater.

    The calculations completed were:

    .  The calculation of the stability of the counterdike caissons with the new incident wave.

    .  The calculation of the reinforcement for the caissons directly exposed to the waves as well as the quay type caissons. The reinforcement during the construction and design phase was analysed.
