- Description: The main modifications to the Construction Project were:
. A modification of the caisson cells, switching to circular cell caissons
. A study of caisson towing from Sagunto.
. A modification to alignment 2, eliminating the dissipative chamber and adding a dual crown wall to be slightly set back
An in-depth study was conducted of the overflow phenomenon (with both physical as well as mathematical models), the drainage, and the stability of the breakwater. The shapes of each one of the two crown walls were analyzed in detail.
