Structural study of the Levante passenger quay at the port of Mahón for the solution of a slab formed by prefabricated pre-slabs plus in-situ concrete.
The main characteristics of the quay:
. Approximate length of 64 m and maximum width of 25 m.
. Foundations by means of 1.5 m diameter piles.
. Transverse beams spaced every 6 m.
. Bollards of 150 t.
. TCN 1300 A type inverted fenders.
The following work has been carried out:
. Analysis of the option of using hollow core slabs.
. Optimisation of the structural modelling.
. Optimisation of the length and reinforcement of the piles.
. Optimisation of the length of the pile casing.
. Solution for the junction located to the east.
. Solution for the passage of the existing sewer pipe.
