The purpose of the preliminary design is to define the extension of the Pescanova quay in Chapela.
The quay will be 90 m long and 9.5 m wide, and to prevent wave reflections in the area it is designed on piles.
To carry out the works, the following process is proposed:
• Installation of the piles, leaving vertical reinforcement bars projecting for later connection.
• Fixing transverse beams onto the piles
• Pre-slabs or permanent formwork slabs supported on beams
• In-situ slab
• Drainage, fendering and mooring elements
