The Project comprised the construction design of the desalination plant´s marine
pipelines, including the concrete intake structures and the diffuser section.
The final design capacity is 838,000 m3/day
Main characteristics of the project. :
• Material: HDPE100 and concrete.
• Pipeline definitions:
– Intake 2xID 2,600 OD 3,200 (tunnel). Depth=-13.5 m
– Outfall ID 2,600 OD 3,200 (tunnel) & ID 2,800 mm HDPE stretch. Depth=-14 m
• Total length: Intake 2×1,825 m and outfall 2,475 m (1,700 m tunnel).
• Maximum Flow rate: 27 m3/s at intake and 14.4 m3/s at outfall.
