Project

The Project comprised the construction design of the desalination plant´s marine pipelines, together with the intake structures and the diffuser section.

Piping characteristics:

• Material: HDPE100
• Pipeline definitions: two OD=500 mm intake pipelines and one OD=355 mm outfall.
• Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) length: 2×59 m Intake and 58 m outfall
• Total length: 2×175 m intake and 528 m outfall
• Maximum flow rate: 0.8 m3/s from the intake and 0.2 m3/s from the outfall
• Number and type of intake structures: 2 passive screens

Moreover, INCREA conducted the Wave Study that was used to calculate the structures and designed the reinforcement of the T-piece of the Intake structure
