It is an marine pipeline which crosses the ria of Vigo for the supply of water to the Morrazo peninsula.
The features of the pipeline are:
• Material: PE100.• Outer diameter: 500 mm, SDR 9.• Length of marine pipeline: 3,800 m.A detailed study of the following aspects has been carried out:• Optimisation of the pipeline route.• Pipe sinking process: longitudinal forces, pressures, buoyancy, etc.• Pipeline joining under the sea.• Pipeline guiding system towards the seabed.• Flange calculation.
