    The project involved work carried out on the Jubail 3B IWP Desalination Plant´s marine intake pipelines and brine discharge. The scope of the work started from the marine intake towers to the pump station and from the outfall chamber to the diffuser. A study was conducted on the dilution and dispersion of the discharge as well as for calculations on the intake towers, the pipelines and concrete blocks, etc. for the design.

     

    Features of the two intake pipelines:

    ØTwo 3,200 mm pipelines in PE100 L=4,590 m
    ØMaximum flow rate 17.8 m3/s

     

    Outfall features:

    Ø2,800 mm pipeline in PE100  L=2,700 m
    ØMaximum flow rate 11.2 m3/s (and 17.8 m3/s bypass flow)
