INCREA was the company responsible for the marine engineering during both the bidding phase and the Construction Project phase. The facility, which involved a total investment of €130M, has a production capacity of 97,200 cubic meters per day and will provide drinking water to 300,000 inhabitants and irrigation water for 8,000 hectares.

Seawater intake is carried out through a 1.6-kilometer-long intake pipeline. Brine discharge is conducted via a 2-kilometer outfall equipped with diffusers, whose discharge points have been carefully studied to avoid any impact on marine flora and fauna, respecting the natural environment at all times.
