The Campo Dalías Joint Venture has begun the operation phase of the Campo de Dalías reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant, one of the largest desalination plants in Europe.

INCREA was the company responsible for the marine engineering during both the bidding phase and the Construction Project phase. The facility, which involved a total investment of €130M, has a production capacity of 97,200 cubic meters per day and will provide drinking water to 300,000 inhabitants and irrigation water for 8,000 hectares.
Seawater intake is carried out through a 1.6-kilometer-long intake pipeline. Brine discharge is conducted via a 2-kilometer outfall equipped with diffusers, whose discharge points have been carefully studied to avoid any impact on marine flora and fauna, respecting the natural environment at all times.
