The objective was to do the necessary calculations to ensure the effectiveness of the PPA & KRAH pipes against the stresses they are subject to.
All situations were analysed that could lead to the collapse of the pipes and a profile was recommended for each one of the lines comprising the pipelines.
Various situations were studied in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the pipelines in the service phase.
These situations were:
• Calculations for positive pressure• Calculations for negative pressure• Burial calculations• Pipe buoyancy calculations• A study of the effect of differential settlements• Study of settlements in chamber area• Comparative tension calculations
