RESIZING AND OPTIMIZATION OF UNDERWATER PIPES AT THE MOSTAGAMEN DESALINATION PLANT (ALGERIA)
- Start Date / End Date: 2008
- Place: MOSTAGAMEN (ARGELIA)
- Scope: Technical reports for construction
In the first place, the extreme marine climate in the area is studied to define the necessary ballasting on the pipes.
A technical report will subsequently be issued to validate the pipeline proposed by PPA&KRAH, calculating the pipe installation in two stages with the aid of floaters.
To calculate the maximum land height and analyze the protection in the breakwater area, a study is conducted on the beach profile evolution with the arrival of a calculated storm.
The characteristics of the pipelines include:•Two PE100 seawater intake pipes.• Inner Diameter: 1,800 mm.• Length: 2,435 and 2,535 m.• Depth: 16 and 16.5 m•PE100 Brine Effluent pipeline.• Inner Diameter: 1,800 mm.• Length: 1,540 m..• Depth: 9.5 m
