PROJECT TO MODERNISE THE MARINE FACILITIES AT THE TALARA REFINERY (PERU)

Underwater pipelines-p

  • Start Date / End Date: 2012
  • Place: PERU
  • Scope: Modified project
  • Description:

The project included the optimisation of all of the maritime infrastructures proposed with a study of alternatives of the possible underwater pipelines and quays.

Specifically, the following tasks were completed:

        •    The analysis and optimisation of the project quays and jetties to reduce their cost of execution and make them feasible from an economic perspective.
        •    The analysis and study of alternatives for the refinery intake and outfall pipelines to bring down the costs without reducing the functionality or quality.
        •    A study of the alternatives for the project quays, unifying them into a single infrastructure for a dual purpose:
        •    To be used as a temporary dry loading quay during construction.
        •    To be used as a liquid loading quay during the service phase.
