  • Description:

    Optimisation of the typical caisson reinforcement for the Project using two different methods:
            • The traditional method, based on structural simplifications for the force calculation. The reinforcement was calculated pursuant to EHE-08 (Spanish Structural Concrete Code) and the Caisson Manual.
            • A method based on finite element analysis (FEM). Modelling with 3D Structural Analysis Software.
    Plus, the naval stability of the caissons was calculated for the flotation as well as the sinking phase.
