CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE CAMPO DALIAS DESALINATION PLANT UNDERWATER PIPELINES (ALMERIA, SPAIN)
- Start Date / End Date: 2011
- Place: CAMPO DALIAS (ALMERÍA)
- Scope: Construction Project
The construction project was completed for the underwater pipelines from the connection to the land section of the outfall to the diffuser, and from the intake tower to the pump house.
The pipelines characteristics:• Material: PE100.• Definition of pipes: Intake outside diameter 1,800 mm and outfall 1,400 mm. both pipelines SDR 33 (SDR 17 for the first marine stretch).• Length of polyethylene: intake: 1,620 m and outfall: 1,970 m• Maximum flow rates: intake: 3.6 m3/s and outfall: 2.32 m3/s• 200 m diffuser section comprised of 20 mouths.
A complete marine climate study was prepared.
A detailed design was made of the intake tower and of the intake tower construction process as well as of all other elements needed to properly define the pipelines.
