ALTERNATIVE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT TO CLOSE THE SOUTHERN END OF THE ESFINGE DOCK 1ST PHASE HAMMER
- Place: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands (Spain)
The drafting of the Tender Project, adapting the Base Solution to the builder's resources moving from square to circular cell caissons.
The work consisted of extending the current La Esfinge breakwater north to south for a total length of 34.00 metres (1 caisson) and a second alignment east to west for a total length of 100.00 metres (3 caissons). The La Esfinge breakwater is parallel to the Queen Sofia approximately 814 metres away.
The 4 new reinforced concrete floating caissons are circular cells filled with granular material and maintain the outer geometry found in the Base Project.
